There are lots of blu ray dvds now available to purchase through the internet or high street stores. A blu ray dvd gives a much sharper clearer picture and sound quality. They are at the moment somewhat dearer that normal dvd’s but it is said the experience of watching a blu ray dvd is worth it. Although dearer now the price eventually should fall.
It was the same when normal dvd’s replaced video cassettes. The only thing is that to watch a blu ray dvd you will need to purchase a player too as these cannot be played on a normal dvd player.
As this is all quite new as well as the discs being dearer the cost of a player will also be quite expensive. If you are thinking of changing over then be sure to shop around and compare out the different makes models and prices. Shopping online can sometimes offer better deals. You should make sure what you would need like the player to have like an input for surround system.
Also as this blu ray dvd technology is quite new as things progress there will always be another model offering much more. Maybe if it is something that you really do not need right now it may be best to wait for a while.
